Lightplan was commissioned in 1998 by Pentar Architects on behalf of P&O Developments to work on the intended refurbishment of the Harbour Yard Building at Chelsea Harbour. The lighting system was designed around the function of the building utilising the best lamp life available on the market. The building’s future maintenance was carefully administered.

At an early stage it was decided that the Interior Space would be very good for Exhibitions and that the Lighting should reflect this opportunity. A Lutron 6000 Control System was utilised to enable the building’s functions to be easily changed. Lamp life was extended by 30%, the building had a better energy saving rating and most of all the building’s lighting levels could be changed automatically by either one button on a keypad, a light sensor or the time clock inbuilt into the system.
